Trex Deck Picture

Trex Composite®

Trex Composite® decking is a wood-alternative made from 95% recycled materials — a combination of ground-up wood and polyethylene plastic from commonly discarded products like stretch wrap, milk jugs, and grocery bags. Trex® decking colors can match or complement your home’s exterior for a seamless finish, whatever its style. Compared to wood, Trex® composite decks are exceptionally low maintenance. All Trex® products are mold and mildew resistant and won’t rot, or crack. Trex® railings and decking never need sanding, sealing or staining. You can easily restore the original beauty of your Trex® deck boards with an annual scrub using mild soap. Trex® decking colors will stay as vibrant and beautiful as the day they were installed, guaranteed with their 25-year Stain & Fade Warranty. Trex® decking is stocked at Lloyd Lumber in many different colors and lengths.

Cedar Decking | Building Materials| Lloyd Lumber Company

Western Red Cedar

Cedar is a fantastic choice for a deck building material because of its combination of unique properties it is naturally resistant to rot and decay. It is dimensionally stable, meaning that it lays flat and stays straight. Even grain and consistent density make it less likely to warp, cup or twist. Fresh cut cedar will come in a wide range of honey/peach shades of light brown. When exposed to weather, it will change in color to silver gray. Cedar’s softness makes it easy to work with and readily accepts protective stains. Its thermal properties allow it to stay cool to the touch in summer heat. We recommend protecting cedar decking by staining with Penofin or Woodsman exterior stain. A cedar deck can last for 15-20 years or more, depending on maintenance and environment. Cedar decking is stocked at Lloyd Lumber in 5/4X6 – 8’,10’,12’,14’,16’.

Ipe Wood Decking 1200px

Ipe hardwood

Ipe is one of the hardest woods in the world which lends to its incredible durability and longevity. It is also naturally resistant to insect attack, mold, rot, fire and decay. The color of Ipe heartwood is a rich brown with red and amber hues and varies considerably from board to board. Ipe wood decking grain is extremely dense and tight. Due to the wood’s fine texture and interlocking grain, Ipe offers superior slip resistance. Ipe is not stocked item but can be special ordered.
